Miller – 2 year old male Greyhound

Our Mr Wonderful is now ready to find a home of his own, meet Miller. This boy has wandered into our kennels and stolen our hearts. Considering Miller spent 2 years in the dreaded Canidrome it’s a testimony to his nature and strength of character that you would never know it. He has not let it affect him in anyway and he is the steadiest, brightest, kindest, most loving, gentle and graceful hound you could wish to meet. Whoever gets to offer this boy his forever home will be so lucky. Miller is currently kenneled with Velvet and the light in his eyes having a companion tells us the main thing we need to know. Miller would love a home with the company of a female Greyhound it has given him the biggest purpose ever and the way he so graciously looks after her and checks on her is a joy to watch.

[rehomed]

We feel with a companion that Miller will settle easily into a home and have no issues being left. He is spotlessly clean in his kennel to the best of his ability and walks like a dream on the lead out and about in the main but he is still very interested in small furries and other breeds of dogs so a home able to continue with sensible and slow vital socialisation would be necessary, he also travels like a dream. Miller we feel would be fine to be rehomed with dog savy children 8 years and upwards as he likes everyone he meets but no cats! Miller is de flead, de wormed, vaccinated, kc vaccinated, microchipped and has been neutered and received a full dental.

If you are interested in offering a home to a Greyhound Gap dog please complete the pre adoption questionnaire below in the first instance. Please note… all homevisits will be carried out with an open mind by our volunteers and homes will be matched to the most suitable dogs in our care. All our dogs can be rehomed nationwide subject to a successful homevisit and all members of the immediate family being willing to travel with any current resident dogs.

Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
