Millie is a 1 year old female Cross-Breed. Beautiful Millie was adopted as a 4 month old pup but sadly has been returned to the rescue due to her families situation changing which affected her behaviour. Millie looks like a German Shepherd cross and is medium to large in size. She is the sweetest girl once she knows you. She loves attention, belly rubs and running round playing with her humans.
She walks brilliantly on her lead, is fully house trained but being back at rescue this will need reinforcing. She has no issues with the other dogs when out playing but can be a little guarding in her kennel. She does have a sensitive stomach so needs to maintain her current food regime all of which will be explained to her new family – its not complicated or expensive food she is on.
Millie can appear shy of strangers at first so anyone interested would need to be willing to visit her a couple of times till she is comfortable with them before any adoption is agreed.
Changes in her family situation caused Millie to become guarding of her owner so this is something that will need watching and working with but the rescue will offer advice and support, its difficult to socialise a pup during a pandemic lockdown so extra effort will be needed to make sure Millie is comfortable and socialised enough.
We would recommend no children under 14 for Millies new family. She could live with another sociable and friendly dog with careful introductions before adoption. She is currently in South Yorkshire S36 so ideally her new family will live within travelling distance of her.
