Milton is a 4 month old male Spanish Mastin Cross. His start in life wasn’t great as he, together with his other 5 siblings, were abandoned as babies and treated like garbage.

They were just a few days old and tiny and didn’t even open their eyes when they were found in a bin in Northern Spain. It’s incomprehensible to us how someone could do that.

They had no way of surviving alone, but with a lot of work, commitment, and love they were fed by bottle every 2-3 hours and also unfortunately one didn’t make it, the other five are now healthy and excited to discover the world and Milton is one of them.

The puppies have grown up in foster care and offered all the love and attention such tiny babies need. They have been raised around people, and now they need to find their forever home, where they will be taught about life with a family.

Spanish Mastins are wonderful dogs: loyal, loving, and devoted to their people. They are also protective, strong, and stubborn at times and so we are looking for a dog-experienced family (not first dog owners) who has the time and commitment to train and raise them as social and well-behaved members of the family.

They will need to learn boundaries and continue their socialization with other dogs. As a very large breed dog (40kg upwards), Milton will be best suited to a home with a fully fenced garden, with lots of opportunities to walk and spend time in nature.

A further dog would surely be a benefit but isn’t a requirement as long as he has enough opportunities to interact, play and socialize with them on his walks or other outdoor activities.

Milton is looking for an adult-only home or a home with older and dog-experienced children, as we want dogs who require more time, training and experience like him to be the priority. Raising a puppy is a lot of fun, but on the other hand also a lot of work.

The puppies haven’t yet had all the puppy training they need – they’ll need to be taught everything a puppy needs to learn, so we are looking for caring and patient owners who are willing to commit to the next 10-15 years.

The puppies will travel vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for Mediterranean diseases. They will come with a contract to spay or neuter when the time is right.

Milton is currently in Northern Spain, but ready to travel to England or Wales if the right forever home comes forward.

If you have the time and experience to dedicate to our wonderful Milton, we would love to hear from you.

TeLuMa’s Dream

For further details regarding adopting a dog from TeLuMa’s Dream, please email Olga, Jessica or Greta at or visit our website We are a Spanish voluntary organization which rescues primarily dogs from a public pound in Galicia, in Northern Spain, where the dogs instead of living, are trying to survive. 99% of the dogs are strays or have been abandoned by their owners on the street. The dogs are a variety of breeds and come in all shapes and sizes! We are funded entirely by donations and work hard in our free time to help rescue and rehome as many dogs as possible. With your help we can continue our work and provide food, bedding, medical supplies and care for the dogs until they are well enough to find their forever homes. All dogs rehomed via TeLuMa’s Dream are microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, deflead and spayed/neutered if old enough, if not the adoption contract will stipulate that this is done as soon as old enough and this will be checked with your vet. We re-home dogs to England and Wales and in some exceptions also to Scotland, if it’s specified like that on the dog’s description. Our aim is to pair each dog with the right new owner, ensuring that it will be safe, cared for and loved for the rest of its life. Therefore all potential adopters will be asked to complete a questionnaire. Also a homecheck is carried out and a video call to adoption. Please note that we never reserve dogs in advance of our full process having been carried out. We reserve all final decisions on compatible dogs until after the home visit, so please bear in mind that your application will be considered a general application for adoption until final confirmation has been given by both adopter and Teluma's Dream. We offer a full rescue back up service to all our adopters and post-adoption support, which includes a Facebook support group and free behavioral advice.
Please also be aware that all dogs who are adopted through TeLuMa’s Dream remain part of our extended family throughout their lifetime. We ask for regular updates during the settling in period following their adoption, and for an ongoing quarterly updates and follow ups after that for the duration of the dogs whole life. We are committed to our dogs and our forever families and this allows us to support you and your dog, but at the same time, knowing how the dogs are, receiving updates and keeping us informed is also the reward for all the efforts, time and costs that are involved in saving each dog. If you feel happy with this level of communication then we would be happy to hear from you.
