Molly is a 7 year old female Labrador. Molly is a beautiful chocolate Labrador who has a wonderful gentle nature and is looking for a loving quiet home. Molly is a friendly girl who gets very excited when visitors come to the house. She may jump up at first however will settle quickly. Molly rarely barks when she is in the house, she doesn’t even bark when the doorbell rings. Molly is wonderful in the house, she is not destructive at all and is very happy to be left alone for a short time herself. Molly being a typical Labrador loves her food. Her favourite game is tug of war, she will happily fetch a toy but is not so good at giving it back for you to throw again.
Molly is okay with other dogs, however can be slightly timid when dogs approach her. Sometimes Molly is happy to say hello to another dog however she usually doesn’t bother with them. As Molly is okay with other dogs, she could potentially live with a quiet well-mannered dog who wouldn’t want to jump all over her and pester her. Molly does pull when walking on lead, however with further training this can be helped. She is great off lead and loves nothing more than being off lead and having a good sniff of her surroundings. She can however sometimes be a little monkey and have a roll in fox or rabbit poo.
Unfortunately Molly’s exercise does need to be restricted as she is currently on medication for arthritis, she is able to go on a couple of shorter walks each day. She suffers from arthritis is her rear hock however her pain is controlled with anti inflamatories. Molly also has urinary incontinence and is currently on 2 tablets a day for this. She very rarely will have an accident and this is only if she has caught an urinary infection. As Molly has come to the Society for re-homing with these pre-existing condition it means that the Society will cover costs relating to Molly’s arthritis and urinary incontinence within reason.
Molly would love her own secure garden to play in as she loves nothing more than sunbathing or throwing her toys around. Molly is looking for a quiet home where she will have a quiet spot on the sofa to snuggle on. Molly has lots of love to give and will make a wonderful companion!
