Mona is a 3-4 year old female Cross-Breed. We will never know how an animal feels being enclosed in a 2×2 metre kennel fighting to survive surrounded by other dogs in the same situation, with fear, stress and without a future, sleeping in a hard and wet floor and being either very cold or very hot – because they are outdoors.
Mona arrived to the pound some time ago. We do not know anything about her past life, but she is a small Podenco dog, so we can imagine that her past life was not easy. She is a beautiful girl that is 3 years-and-a-half old and small sized (weighs 10 kg approx.). She is a bit frightened but very affectionate. When she is confident with you, she shyly asks for cuddles.
Mona will have an amazing life if we find the appropriate family for her, a family with a medium level of activity and that understands that she may need time to adjust to her new life. Hunting dogs do not know what living in a home feels like and some dogs need more time to adjust to the new situation.
Podenco dogs are smart and lively. All our adopters that chose to give a home to a Podenco are happy for having given them an opportunity, because they are very good dogs, noble and also beautiful.
Mona has not been tested with cats. She is social with other dogs and knows how to walk on the leash. She is a beautiful girl that needs to gain confidence to show how sweet she is.
Mona has already been tested to Mediterranean diseases and the results are negative. Mona could travel to the UK in November. She would travel microchipped, with passport, all the vaccines for the next year, dewormed and neutered.
