He is currently cared for in our small, cage-free home rescue in Bulgaria, where he lives as part of the family while waiting for his own.
Monty was sadly found abandoned and left to fend for himself on the streets of Bulgaria. Whatever happened in his past, he has left it behind and has quickly shown us what a truly lovely dog he is.
In fact, we’ve been trying to find something not to like about him…
…and we can’t!
Monty is calm, affectionate, gentle and incredibly easy to live with. He has settled beautifully into family life and simply enjoys being around people.
Whether it’s relaxing in the garden, joining you on a walk or curling up beside you in the evening, Monty is happiest just being included.
He mixes well with the other dogs in our care and would happily live with another friendly dog, although we also think he would enjoy being the only dog in a home where he could soak up all the attention.
At around 5–6 years old, Monty has left the puppy antics behind but still has many wonderful years ahead of him. He would suit someone looking for a loyal companion who enjoys both gentle adventures and quiet evenings at home.
Monty is the sort of dog who forms a close bond with his family, and we know whoever adopts him is going to wonder how they ever managed without him.
