Myrtle is a medium sized 9 year old female Cross-Breed. She came to us several months ago from the Botosani public shelter in Romania where she had been for around six to seven years.

Myrtle had not had any positive human contact prior to coming to us. She took some time to come out of hiding in her foster home but has gained loads of confidence and grown so much in character. She will now take a treat from hand and is happy to curl on the sofa near her foster humans. She is still quite hand shy and needs to go at her own pace when meeting new people.

Myrtle is a nervous and jumpy girl and she probably always will be so will be much better suited in a quiet home with no children. Myrtle will need an adopter that has experience with nervous dogs, who will understand her quirky ways, be patient and willing to work with her to help her continue to build her trust in humans again. Myrtle loves other dogs and definitely needs to be homed with another resident dog, please do not apply unless you have another dog or dogs in full time residence.

Myrtle loves going for walks and gets quite vocal when the lead comes out. She is not quite comfortable with the lead going on and takes a little coaxing but once out she walks lovely on the lead and enjoys taking in her surroundings. Myrtle currently lives happily with a cat. Myrtle fostered near Norwich Norfolk.

Please note it is Safe Rescue policy that all dogs adopted from us must wear a slip lead to be walked for the duration of their lives. Too many dogs are lost from slipping out of collars and harnesses and many of our dogs are timid due to past ill treatment and are likely to panic when out and about. It is absolutely okay to use these things additionally to slip leads, but not instead of.

We also request that extendable retractable leads are never used on our dogs. If you are opposed to slip leads, please do not enquire about our dogs as this is non negotiable. Thank you for unde.rstanding. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.

All dogs are vaccinated, microchip and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered) If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or 9am to 4pm Saturday
