Nala is a 4-5 year old female Bernese Mountain Dog. Nala has come to us to find her forever home as she is no longer required for breeding. She is as you can imagine, quite nervous. Everything is new and rather scary for her currently as she is not used to living in a home. She will need new owners who are around for a good part of the day and she must be re homed with at least one other similar sized dog who is confident and gentle to help her settle to life as a pet.
She does walk on a lead but will need further training. As she is not used to home life and has had limited exposure a home with older teenagers only please. We would love to here from breed experienced homes.
Nala traveled well in the car and was both clean and quiet. Due to her size and coat she will need someone who is physically able to handle her on lead and who is able to ensure that her coat receives regular grooming. She did arrive with matting and her coat in poor condition, luckily she has had a good bath and her coat has been sorted so she is much more comfortable.
It may take a little while to come back to its former glory but with time she will look stunning again. A few accidents should be expected initially whilst she settles in although she is making great progress in her foster home.
Nala has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and she has also had her teeth scaled and polished. Flea and worming treatments are all up to date. She is on foster in Swanley Kent. Home check and set donation applies.
