Nala is a 2-3 year old female Spanish Mastin Cross about 35kg. She is currently living in Hampshire (UK) and looking for a forever home. At the beginning of this year Nala had the bad luck to end up in a pound of Northern Spain, but she had the luck to be there just a short period. She got the chance to leave and travel to the UK, where someone opened a door for her and she entered a warm place where they gave her a soft spot where she could rest comfortably, for a change. Thanks to her transition family we are able now to tell more about her character.
They describe her as a “lap dog”…a BIG lap dog J Nala loves to be cuddled and to be as closed as possible to her loved ones. She can also get a “bit”…ok, maybe more than “a bit” 😉 jealous of other furriers. Nala then gets between her loved human and the other dogs like saying “Now it’s my turn please”. She is super affectionate and wants to have all the attention for her own.
Nala is also a very smart girl and became quite good on the Bridle or Halti in a short time. She is fine walking near roads and doesn’t mind cars near her. She is very treat orientated, and is intelligent, and so is easy to train her. When it’s meal time, she waits patiently and leaves the other dogs food alone. She is also good with dogs and sharing her current home with other dogs with which she likes to play. But towards small dogs she seems to have a dislike and therefore isn’t compatible with small dogs so far. We do not know why and we may never know; this is probably part of her unknown past. Something happened, is the only thing we can tell.
Nala is housetrained and behaves well around the house and travels good in the car. She whines in the car because of excitement and wags her tail. And guess what: she loves people, she loves her walks, she loves playing, she loves treats and she loves her small comfy and warm spot where she sleeps. Now it’s the time to find Nala a forever home. She is a big girl and looking for an experienced family, where there are no cats or children.
A home with a garden and a family with no other dogs or with medium to big sized dogs that aren’t jealous or dominant would be perfect for her. She is a lovable lap dog and we want to find a marvelous home for her. Meeting Nala is falling completely in love with her, due to her rare beauty and her big heart, so if you are interested in becoming her new family please contact us.
