Since coming into foster she’s been an absolute dream – she’s a very clever girl and responds well to training, her lead walking is going well and she’s reacting much less to dogs she sees on walks.

Nala loves to play, to have cuddles and to be with people but she’s fine to be left for reasonable periods.

Nala is a super friendly girl who has no idea of her size and strength but shows absolutely no aggression, however, due to her boisterous behaviour we would only rehome with children 8+.

Nala can be reactive to dogs and has never been around cats or other animals so we feel she needs to be an only pet. Nala loves her stuffed toys and balls and loves playing fetch.

Nala has had some basic training but still needs work on her recall so is only off-lead exercised in a secure area which she enjoys.

Nala has been diagnosed with elbow dysplasia but has received platelet-reduced plasma injections for this which have been very successful, this may be needed again in the future if she begins to limp again at any point but there is no hard and fast rule as to how often this will be needed, it could be in 12 months, or it could be in 2-3 years.

The approximate cost is £600 per treatment. Nala is vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to us in South Yorkshire.

As always we require everyone in the family and any children who are regularly going to be in contact with the dog to attend the meet. Our usual process is that you will need to come and meet the dog and that adoption is then done on a second meet

JLP Trust Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue in South Yorkshire (Rotherham and the surrounding areas) and we offer help to animals who need us to find them a new home for whatever the reason.

Sadly many animals, especially in the South Yorkshire area, find themselves needing a new home, abandoned or neglected through no fault of their own. We try to help as many of these as possible through providing help with rehoming, foster homes and help to owners wherever possible to ensure that the animals remain safe, looked after and loved until a new forever home can be found.

For every animal we help we provide homechecks, vaccination, neutering and microchipping and lifetime back up if anything should go wrong in their new home.
