Nimbus is a 1 year old male Bichon Frise Cross. He has had a sad start to his life, with very limited human interaction. He was rescued from a puppy farm. He has been in foster since March and is starting to blossom, but still has a way to go. He follows his foster around but is still scared of touch and will back away. He’s always at her feet and gives her the best waggy-tailed welcome when she comes home.

Nimbus loves being part of a pack and would need a home with other dogs who are calm but playful. He gains confidence from them and loves to play. Although he is hand-shy especially around his head and face, he has been to the groomers and the vets are very well-behaved on these occasions. It is still a very stressful experience for him. This sweet boy needs patience and understanding from those around him to help him realize the world is not a scary place.
Nimbus wears a harness and collar and walks beautifully on a slip lead. He watches his foster all the time and walks with his tail up on his little jaunts. Time needs to be taken to put the harness on but once on he’s fine. He is still a typical puppy and loves to chew! He is crate trained so can be left for up to 3 hours without any issues.
He needs an adopter who has a lot of time and patience to gain his trust. He is a strong-willed little boy who is learning how to interact with humans and become a family pet. He needs a home with someone who will allow him time to settle in, have a set routine with boundaries, and allow him to flourish. He may never be the cuddliest of boys but he is growing in confidence every day. He is currently being fostered in Hastings.
