Nisha – 3 year old female Saluki Cross

Nisha is a 3 year old female Saluki Cross. She was found 2 years ago abandoned on the streets in Oman where she didn’t put up any resistance to her rescuer and was happy to be taken off the streets and straight into a foster home.

Nisha is still in that same foster home today, 2 years later. She hasn’t had one single application come in for her since she was rescued so we’re hoping her forever home is in the UK instead. Nisha is fine with male dogs but selective with female dogs.

Her ideal home would either have no dogs or calm older dogs as she doesn’t do well with puppies and energetic dogs. She could live with cats as her foster family have two cats who she lives alongside harmoniously. Her foster family describe her as very loving and affectionate, for 15 minutes, then she likes her space to chill and relax.

She enjoys going out for walks but is strong on the lead so she’ll need a harness and probably a bit of training to make her a better walking buddy. Her foster mum however mostly takes her out off leash as she said Nisha never runs off.

Nisha is used to being left during the day (as her foster mum works) and she doesn’t have any separation anxiety, she’s happy to sleep all day. She’s never lived with children but could probably live with older children, she wouldn’t like a busy loud household though.

If you think you could be a good match for Nisha, please get in touch. Please note that there would be a 3-4 month wait for Nisha as we would need to prepare her for travel to the UK.

All dogs rehomed via this rescue will be vaccinated, neutered/spayed and microchipped. Home checks apply and full post adoption support is offered.

Our dogs are rescued from the streets of Oman where they live terrible lives, often suffering abuse, starvation, fatal car accidents and victims of shootings.

They’re primarily wadi dogs, a type of mixed breed sighthound and make wonderful pets. They’re incredibly loyal, loving and intelligent.
