Nissy is an 8 month old female cross breed, expected to become a good medium size when fully grown (current weight: 14 kg). She was dumped with her 4 siblings at 2-3 months of age and was handed over to the local shelter.

She was adopted with another puppy (Szamoca) soon after but they were both returned to the shelter a few weeks later. They became good friends though and they’ve been sharing a kennel since.

Nissy is a real sweetheart, she loves nothing more than a cuddle and would not exchange it for anything. She is very affectionate with people and does not leave your side. She is playful and loves a run with her doggie mates too.

She was quite timid initially but she started trusting quite quick once she saw she’s loved and is well cared for. With love and lots of cuddles, she will be a perfect companion and a faithful friend for life.

She is friendly with dogs and is used to cats too so she can be rehomed with felines.

We would love her not to have to spend winter in the shelter but in a warm home sharing the sofa with her humans.

Nissy would be best suited for a family where she is not left alone for long periods and there is time for her training and socialization. Her training will include toilet training and walking on and off the lead. We want her to be part of all kinds of activities and be treated as a member of the family.

Nissy would probably be happiest living with another friendly well-balanced dog but she might as well be happy as the only dog and the centre of attention of her family.

It would be lovely if they could be rehomed together with Szamoca but we understand this might be a wish too idealistic…

Like all rescue dogs, she will need time, patience, love and commitment from her adopting family to become a happy, well-balanced dog.

Experience with rescue dogs preferred. No first-time owners, please.

Nissy is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for her.

She comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA-approved paperwork.
