Hello, my name is Nora. I’m a four year old female Jack Russell. I arrived at The Mayhew after being found abandoned on the streets. I’m a well behaved girl with lots of character. I understand basic commands, I’m toilet trained and I travel well in the car. I’m affectionate and loving, but I also have an independent streak. I love being tucked into bed at night and playing with my rope toy. I also love long walks but I don’t like getting muddy. I can live with sensible children from twelve years of age and upwards but I’ll need to be the only pet in the home. I wouldn’t be suitable to live in a flat due to my vocal nature. I can occasionally be left alone for between two to three hours at a time.
I’m now looking for a forever home with someone who has owned dogs before and is able to provide me with a minimum of one hour of active off lead exercise every day. If you are interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, as you’ll be taking on an eleven year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.
I hope to see you soon,
