Norman – 5 year old male Patterdale Terrier

Norman is a 5 year old male Patterdale Terrier in need of a new home due to him no longer getting along with the other resident dog.

The family has tried very hard to sort this but unfortunately, the problem is escalating so the heartbreaking decision to rehome Norman has been made as it’s clear he needs to be an only pet (any negative comments will be deleted).

Norman is fantastic with people and he currently lives with a 2 year old child who he adores so we’re happy to rehome him with children who are used to giddy dogs.

If you’ve got a tennis ball Norman will be your best friend and will play all day long, but equally, he loves his sofa snuggles. He doesn’t snatch food, and doesn’t resource guard his toys or treats.

Norman travels very well in the car and is used to trips to the seaside so would love an active family who would take him on holidays and adventures in the UK.

Due to him never living with cats or small furries we wouldn’t rehome him with them. Norman is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to us in South Yorkshire.

As always we require everyone in the family and any children who are regularly going to be in contact with the dog to attend the meet. Our usual process is that you will need to come and meet the dog and that adoption is then done on a second meet.

For some dogs additional meets may be required and potential adopters will be required to travel to the dog’s location for all meets.

If you are suited we will then arrange a homecheck, vet reference and meet with the dog.

We only rehome where all residents and previous animals are/were regularly vaccinated and neutered/speyed unless on veterinary advice. All of our dogs have rescue back up.

JLP Trust Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue in South Yorkshire (Rotherham and the surrounding areas) and we offer help to animals who need us to find them a new home for whatever the reason.

Sadly many animals, especially in the South Yorkshire area, find themselves needing a new home, abandoned or neglected through no fault of their own. We try to help as many of these as possible through providing help with rehoming, foster homes and help to owners wherever possible to ensure that the animals remain safe, looked after and loved until a new forever home can be found.

For every animal we help we provide homechecks, vaccination, neutering and microchipping and lifetime back up if anything should go wrong in their new home.
