Nova is a petite 11 month old (Born February 23) female Saluki mix who is currently in Oman. She was rescued last year after she was reported to us by some concerned people.

Nova had been the victim of a shooting incident and in her fear, she had run off to escape being shot and run through a bramble bush. Luckily, Nova did not sustain any injuries from the bullets but she did cut her legs and injured her left eye.

Her left eye became so badly infected from the bramble bush scratches, that she had to have it removed. Despite all of this trauma, Nova always has been and still is an incredibly sweet and friendly girl.

She is small, about 12kg, so similar to a small Whippet, very slim and has a lovely temperament. As she is still young, she is very young, energetic and wiggly!

So, her new home would have the time to exercise and keep her entertained as she navigates puppyhood. Apart from only having one eye, she is healthy.

Nova is good with all other dogs she meets and just wants to play with them all – cats included! She could therefore go to a home with other dogs and cats or she could be rehomed as an only dog/pet. She could live with sensible dog savvy children aged 8+.

Please note it would take 3-4 months to prepare Nova for travel to the UK.

All dogs rehomed via this rescue will be vaccinated, neutered/spayed and microchipped. Home checks apply and full post adoption support is offered.

Our dogs are rescued from the streets of Oman where they live terrible lives, often suffering abuse, starvation, fatal car accidents and victims of shootings.

They’re primarily wadi dogs, a type of mixed breed sighthound and make wonderful pets. They’re incredibly loyal, loving and intelligent.
