Ollie, a nine-month-old male English Setter, is a special pup in search of a loving and understanding home. Despite his young age, Ollie faced the prospect of homelessness before joining the SeBPRA family.

Upon arrival at the shelter in North Spain, it was discovered that Ollie was suffering from a sore leg, prompting a visit to the vet. Sadly, the diagnosis revealed that Ollie is dealing with hip dysplasia, a condition that has caused him pain for some time.

While Ollie’s current vet is optimistic about his prognosis and believes that with proper care, including a good diet and muscle-building exercises, he may avoid the need for surgery, his future remains uncertain.

Regardless, Ollie requires a home that can accommodate his needs, providing appropriate exercise and mental stimulation while also being understanding of potential rest days.

While dogs with hip dysplasia can lead fulfilling lives with the right care, Ollie would not be suited for a home seeking a high-energy companion for strenuous exercise.

Despite his challenges, Ollie maintains a cheerful disposition, always sporting a smile and displaying a friendly demeanor towards both dogs and people. He enjoys playing with his furry friends and eagerly responds to calls at the shelter, showcasing his affectionate nature.

Born on the 18th of July 2023, Ollie eagerly awaits the chance to find his forever home. If you’re interested in providing this wonderful pup with the love and care he deserves, Setter Brittany Pointer Rescue is where you can find him.

Though currently in North Spain, Ollie is prepared to embark on a new adventure and join his special family in the UK.

Could you be the one to offer Ollie a loving home?
