Ördög is an approximately 8 month old medium size Cross-Breed (current shoulder height: 40 cm, weight: 9 kg). He is suspected to be a Puli/Mudi cross although his parents are unknown. He was found on a ploughland along with his 3 siblings as a tiny puppy and they were taken to the closest city pound where they were rescued from the next day. He is not expected to grow too much larger and will stay medium size. Ördög is a happy and active puppy who likes being around dogs and children. He can be a bit shy and timid initially and needs some time to come out of his shell but he is a lovely cuddly boy once he sees you mean no harm to him. He has that vulnerable look in his eyes that melts your heart as soon as you see him!
He loves playing and likes his soft toys and balls dearly. He has a lovely nature, loves cuddles and always wants to stay close to you. He is highly intelligent and a quick learner. Although he can be quite nervous in new situations and is wary of new things, he has never shown aggression in any situation. He was immaculately behaved on the visit to the vets too. He has a lot to learn about the world around him and he needs gentle but confident guidance to get the most out of him. He loves a doggie company, he used to live with a pack of dogs in Hungary and he is very playful and happy among dogs. He is also comfortable with cats as he used to live with them.
Ördög currently stays with a foster family in Milton Keynes in an adult only household with no other pets and we feel he is missing doggie company. We think he would be happiest in a lively, active household where his exercise needs are met as he needs loads of stimalation. He would definitely benefit from the company of another friendly and well behaved dog. He is practically house clean apart from the very rare accident. He is currently not taken on regular walks and still a bit reluctant to walk on the lead so it will be down to his new family to show him that walkies are the best thing in the world!
Ördög would be best suited for a family without or with children over 10 where he is not left alone for long periods of time and there is time for his training. He will need to be gently introduced to the world around him and given time to settle and gain his confidence in his new home. His future family will need to continue his socialisation and take him to puppy classes if possible. He will need a good amount of exercise and he could be an excellent agility/flyball dog once he’s gained his confidence and learned some obedience as he’s very quick and bright which is a great start for any doggie sports. He would probably be happiest living with a friendly doggie mate as he is very sociable with dogs. He could also live with cats without a problem. As all rescue dogs, he will need time, patience, love and commitment from his adopting family to become a happy and well balanced adult dog.
Ördög is currently in Milton Keynes and a visit can be arranged for his potential family. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork. The right owners will need to agree to have him neutered once fully grown.
Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
