Paddy is a 3-4 year old male Cockapoo. Poor Paddy ended up unclaimed in the pound after being found straying. He served his time and is now ready to find his forever home. He is a great little chap who has a lovely nature. Paddy is not used to living in a home and is very underweight currently, he is having regular meals with additional calories and will soon gain weight.
Paddy has been castrated and so is still scent marking, it will take a little time for this behavior to lessen so it should be expected initially whilst he settles in. He travels well in the car but is a little nervous initially. He will improve as he gets used to the car being a good thing. He lacks any formal training but is so people orientated that he should respond well to positive training.
Paddy will need new owners who are around for a good part of the day, he would be best with another similar sized gentle resident dog who can help him adjust to life in the home. He does have a bald nose at the moment, the pattern and area of baldness would be consistent with being left in a muzzle for a very prolonged period of time. We have no idea why this would have been done as he is such a lovely boy a muzzle really should not have been necessary.
As we have a limited history for Paddy, any children should be older teenagers who are used to being around dogs. Paddy has met the cat and took little notice so a dog savvy cat should be fine to live alongside Paddy.
Paddy has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment, he is currently being fostered in RQ42 Binfield Hampshire. Home check and set donation applies.
