Parker is a 3 year old male golden Labrador. This lad is a complete and utter people magnet, he loves everyone and anyone and greets every with the same crazy enthusiasm and joy. He is full on and he will bounce all over you but only out of adoration. Due to his bouncy and larger than life nature older teenagers only please. A cat free home will be best for Parker as he does have a high prey drive.
Parker gets on well with other dogs and has come into rescue with Bella, a 5 year old female Labrador, he has lived with her all his life. It would be good for them to be re homed together but is not absolutely necessary as they do have differing needs.
Parker has hip and elbow dysplasia, this means he will do best maintaining his weight at a little below his optimum and its important he does not do too much formal exercise. He would benefit from hydrotherapy and of course some good supplements to prolong his joints where possible. In later stages he will require pain medication, this will not be covered by insurance.
We will be happy to discuss this in full with any suitable applicants and to share all vet history held for him. He loves the sofa and is happy having a good snooze after a play in the garden, he is clean in the house and not destructive.
Parker loves his walks and being out of the house, he is strong on the lead and will benefit from some further training. He is not a huge fan of going in the car but he has improved greatly.
This lad would like a home used to dealing with his conditions and managing his exercise, he will still need mental and some physical exercise and stimulation just in a controlled manner to ensure he dos not over-stress his legs.
Parker has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and has also had his teeth cleaned and polished. He is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Fostered in Caterham Surrey.
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to Caterham Surrey to meet Parker.
