Pearl is a lovely 9-year-old female Bichon Frise who is in an Oldies Club foster home near Newbury, Berkshire. She settled at her foster home within a couple of weeks. She doesn’t like to be left for too long; she has been OK for up to about 90 minutes with the company of other dogs, but if left longer she shows signs of being anxious.
Pretty Pearl is used to living with other dogs and her foster carers feel that she would not be happy an an only dog. She gets on well with the other dogs in her foster home. Pearl hasn’t lived with cats before and we were told that she will chase them. Pearl is a lively girl and she likes children. She has lived with teenagers before so she should be fine to live with kind children aged 12+. Pearl is energetic for her age and enjoys a couple of 20-minute walks each day. She tends to stay on her lead as if let off she will run off exploring and isn’t inclined to come back.
Pearl needs a home where she will have company most of the time and where she will also have a doggy companion or two so that she won’t fret if you need to leave her for short periods. She seems to prefer women to men. Her new home will need to have a nice garden for her to explore.
Pearl has been neutered and is vaccinated, microchipped and has been worm and flea treated. She has a slight heart murmur but it is nothing to worry about at the moment. She is not on any treatment or medication. To keep her coat in tip-top condition she needs regular grooming including a bath every 3 weeks and a trip to the groomers at least every 8 weeks.
