Peggy is a 6 month plus Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreed who came into our care after she had been found dumped at the side of the road. Peggy is a quiet and sweet natured girl who is very anxious about new people, particularly men and new environments and is looking for a home that can work with her and build up her confidence.
Peggy is unsure about other dogs and needs some work with this, she can become worried by them so we would advise that she is the only dog in the home. She is very interested in cats and rabbits so at this time advise that she goes to a home without them.
Although she is young and good with people, due to her nervous nature we are advising that Peggy goes to a home with older children over 11 years who are familiar with dogs and comfortable around them. Peggy loves to play and is very gentle with this, she also walks very well on a lead and sits on command.
Peggy is looking for a home experienced with dogs and where people are around to help her settle in.
*Update December 2019*
Peggy is a 9 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, although she is very young she does have certain behaviours that require a specific type of home. She needs a family that are willing to work with her on a daily basis and lots of socialisation training with people and dogs. Peggy needs a home experienced in owning dogs, particularly larger breeds who can be strong to handle. Peggy does walk well on a lead but when playing she will jump and bounce all over you.
The home that Peggy needs requires someone to be around for most of the day, she needs to build a bond and trust with her owner. She needs to be the only dog for now until she has built her confidence with other dogs and no cats or rabbits as she loves to chase. Peggy could live with children over the age of 11 years who are familiar with dogs and can give them the space they require.
