Penny is a 4-year-old, 7-month-old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

She has a striking blue brindle coat that adds to her unique appearance. Penny’s journey to the rescue was through the stray system when her time was running out, but she has adjusted well since her arrival.

Initially nervous, especially around men, Penny has grown more comfortable with patient introductions. She prefers interactions on her own terms and doesn’t appreciate being rushed.

She has demonstrated good behaviour around children, having been around her owner’s twin granddaughters who are 14 years old. Penny shows no aggression towards food and currently lives harmoniously with a cat, showing indifference towards feline housemates.

On walks, Penny behaves excellently on the lead, although she may initially be excited when leashed, she settles down quickly once outdoors. She is crate trained and can be left in her crate for up to 4 hours without issue.

Indoors, Penny has proven to be well-behaved and has not exhibited any destructive chewing behaviour. She is fully house-trained with no accidents indoors.

While Penny is generally good with dogs, she can be selective in her preferences and tends to get along better with smaller breeds. With careful introductions, she shows promise in cohabiting with other dogs.
