Pepper – 3 year old female Greyhound

Pepper is a 3 year old Greyhound girl who is currently kenneled with Thor and is most certainly the boss of the pair. This girl is so happy go lucky and loves life and is a cheeky black greyhound minx she is going to really brighten up someones life. Out and about on walks Pepper is still a little vocal when faced with smaller dog but has only recently retired from racing so with time and gentle safe socialisation will learn about what other breeds of dogs are. Pepper travels like a dream and works hard to try to keep her kennels environment clean but is not cat friendly. She can be rehomed with dog savy children 6 years and upwards. We feel that Pepper would be best suited to a home with another dog in there but if a new home was around all or most of the time in the interim to work with us to settle she could learn to become an only dog.

Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so:
