Pippa is a 7 month old female Lurcher. She needs a new home. Pippa was brought up in a loving family but given up to kennels because she was too much for the elderly greyhound in the home, she is too lively and wanted to play all the time.
Pippa is 25″ to the shoulder and weighs 20kg. Pippa has grown up around other dogs and is very sociable with them. She would prefer to be rehomed with another playful dog. Pippa is great with people, she’s also great with kids but very bouncy and could knock young ones over, so best rehomed with children 10+ who understand not to wind her up.
Typically of a young lurcher Pippa is very excitable, and she also tends to jump up a lot – she will need someone committed to further training. However Pippa can already sit and give paw, she seems very bright and should be easy to train.
She travels well in the car. Pulls a bit on the lead to start (but does settle after a while), needs further work on this. She has been crate trained. She is best not being left too long at home alone. She is microchipped and vaccinated, will be spayed next week. Pippa is at LURCHER LINK RESCUE, near Halifax, West Yorkshire.
