Polaris is a confident and friendly 7 year old male Thai Bangkaew Dog who was rescued from the streets of Thailand and currently lives at the Soi Dog Foundation shelter in Phuket.
Although he shares his name with the North Star, Polaris wasn’t shining so bright when he arrived at Soi Dog back in 2016. Hurt and homeless, he’d been roaming the streets with a severely fractured hind leg.
But following amputation surgery and a period of rest, he emerged as a rising star of the shelter, bringing light with his winning smile, big personality and unmatched love of belly rubs.
Polaris is a Bangkaew, a Thai breed known for their intelligence, bravery and unwavering loyalty. He’s looking for an experienced owner – with no other pets or children – who can help him harness all of these great traits within a home. And after five years at the shelter, he couldn’t be more ready to find that home!
