Poppy – 4 year old female Miniature Dachshund

Poppy is a 4 year old female Miniature Dachshund. Poor little Poppy arrived in a rum state, she had clearly not long given birth and weaned her pups. Her boobs drag along the ground showing she has had repeated litters. On arrival she came with a huge lump on her chest, clearly it had been there for some time and without medical treatment.

[rehomed]

We got Poppy straight into the vets and we have operated and removed what was thankfully a fatty lump or lipoma so nothing sinister but still requiring removal. She is such a sweet little girl who will make a wonderful pet for her new owners. She has been clean in the house, travels well in the car and is happiest cuddled up on someone’s lap.

Poppy is fine with other dogs but would not be happy around overly energetic or bouncy companions, any other dogs will need to be of similar size as this is what Poppy is happy with. As we have a limited history for Poppy any children in the home will need to be 10+, her new owners will need to be around for most of the day but she is fine to be left for short periods. As she recovers from her surgery Poppy will be able to start going for walks again, she walks well on lead but can sometimes be a little nervous.

We do not know how Poppy would be with cats. She has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and had her Lipoma removed. We have also scaled and polished her teeth to keep her smiling. Poppy is currently being fostered in Aldershot Hampshire.
