Radar is a one-year-old male Shepherd cross with a medium-large build, rescued just before Christmas in Cyprus.

He was found wandering aimlessly in the fields, and the dog warden managed to catch him, and bring him to the municipal shelter. Although Radar has an unusual appearance for a Cyprus dog, he possesses a striking beauty and a lovely temperament.

Initially shy upon arriving at the shelter, Radar would keep to the back of his kennel and avoid eye contact. However, over the past few weeks, a significant transformation has taken place, revealing Radar to be a teddy bear at heart.

Now ready to find his forever home, he has become more confident and affectionate. Radar is approximately the size of a German Shepherd, requiring regular grooming to maintain his beautiful coat.

Despite Radar’s past possibly involving life as a farm dog or outdoor living, he shows a gentle and soft nature. He adapts quickly to new people and is learning to walk nicely on the lead with volunteers.

Best suited to a semi-rural home with access to a garden and green spaces, Radar thrives away from busy roads and crowds. A patient approach is essential as he adjusts to indoor living, making him an ideal companion for a moderately active household.

While Radar has not been tested with cats, he can live with children aged 8+, though very young children might be overwhelming for him. He is generally gentle and can coexist with other dogs, yet he is content chilling on his own.

Radar, currently in Cyprus and in good health, is prepared to travel to his forever home, bringing joy and companionship to those fortunate enough to welcome him.
