Ralph – 4 year old male Jack Russell Terrier cross Poodle

Ralphie is a 4 year old Jack Russell cross Poodle. He is fully vaccinated neutered and microchipped. He loves his walks and his rubber ball. Ralphie can be nervous when meeting other large or very bouncy dogs and will run away from them. He needs new owners who have the time and patience to help him settle and perhaps to take him to training classes to further socialise him.

Ralphie can be homed with teenagers only, no small children as he is scared of them. He needs owners who have experience of nervous dogs and who will be able to work with him to overcome his fears. He is an energetic lad and may benefit from an active home. Ralphie does have some terrier traits and although he looks all soft and fluffy, he is not and does things on his own terms.

This boy needs a forever home that will invest in him, with a little time he will be a loyal and devoted companion. Ralphie is in Dartford Kent.

Ralphie is doing well in foster but does need new owners who are experienced with nervous dogs. He is fearful of being handled and will show his teeth or will hold your hand. He does not bite, he just lets you know he is not happy. He really does not like a collar, and he flinches at the ‘click’ fastening when it is put on him. He is much happier with a slip lead being popped over his head.

Ralphie does have separation anxiety so ideally would like new owners who are around for most of the day and who will be able to continue to work with him. He can probably be homed with someone very confident, who wont shout at him if mouths, and gives him space when he needs it, especially evenings when he is tired. He is a little sweetheart really, he does need understanding though bless him.He likes being picked up for a cuddle.
