Redge – 2 year old male Lurcher

Redge is a 2 year old rough-coated Lurcher lad. Redge is an absolute darling of a dog. He has been clean in his foster home from day one and had no problems whatsoever being left with the company of another dog whilst his owners do to work full time with someone coming home at lunchtime.

He is a little strong on lead but this has been getting better however any new family would need to continue with this and he has been going to training classes which he loves.

[rehomed]

Alongside another dog Redge is living with rabbits and chickens. He has always been fine with the rabbits but was a little keen on the chickens to begin with however, now with supervision he runs away from them as opposed to to them.

On arriving in the foster home Redge seemed a little nervous and was worried at times by being handled and moved around. This is now disappearing and he is turning into a happy go lucky, playful boy.

Redge does need the company of another dog and would love a young bitch to hoon around and play with. Off lead he isn’t grabby, snatchy mouthy with the male dog he lives with but can sometimes bump him trying to get him to play. This though is very much a lurcher trait and the older dog has told him off which Redge takes well.

Redge is located in the West Midlands

Redge is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, deflead, dewormed and microchipped.

Greyhound Gap
Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
