Reiko – 1 year old male Akita

Reiko is a stunning male Akita who is a year old. He is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. Reiko is a friendly chap who is alert and extremely food motivated which will be very helpful with his ongoing training. He is happy, waggy and enjoys a fuss, he can come across as a little shy and unsure initially but he is soon comfortable in his new friends company. He is lead trained, house trained, obedience trained. However, he has exhibited some anxiety when left alone so we would prefer a home where someone is at home most of the day (at least initially).

[rehomed]

Reiko is eager to go out exploring and he can currently pull on the lead with his enthusiasm, with routine and regular walks this will improve. He is gentle while taking treats and does not appear to display any signs of food or toy guarding. Reiko is fine with children and as such he can potentially live with older dog aware children in a responsible home. Reiko can potentially live with a female dog subject to successful introductions. He has not been feline tested.

Reiko is very engaging and will suit a home where he can be included and be part of day to day activity. He will benefit from exercise and continued training to foster bonds with new owners. If you are willing to invest the time, Reiko will be the perfect addition to your family.

Interested? Please contact us. He is currently located in Nottinghamshire.
