Remy is a 7-month-old, 12.5kg female cross breed currently residing in Kent, U.K. Vaccinated, blood tested, flea and worm treated and microchipped, she is not spayed yet due to her age.
Remy and her siblings, along with their mother, were found on the side of a busy road in Romania. Unfortunately, Remy’s mother succumbed to a car accident, but Andreea took care of Remy until she was ready to join a loving family.
In her new home, Remy requires a confident and experienced owner who understands rescue dogs. This owner should continue her training and provide the love, support, and structure she needs. Due to her background, gentle introductions to the world around her are essential.
Remy would benefit from the expertise of a trained dog behaviourist, particularly one familiar with the nuances of Romanian dogs. While affectionate and loving, she exhibits nervousness towards the outside environment and tends to resource guard her food.
Remy is already crate and toilet-trained, sleeping well in the home. However, she hasn’t been left alone for extended periods, so gradual introductions to solitude are necessary.
Ideally, her new owner would be someone who works from home, providing her the attention and company she needs. A secure garden is essential for Remy’s well-being.
It’s important for potential adopters to have the necessary facilities, time, knowledge, and skills to ensure Remy’s welfare, in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Applications are subject to checks, and a responsible rehoming process, denoted by “Rbu,” is in place.
