Ringo weighs around 16 kg so is a medium-sized boy. Ringo is a very loving dog and is eager to please.

Ringo is gentle with all members of the family, including the children. He responds well to positive praise and loves affection.

Ringo knows his name well and sits/lays down for treats. Ringo has a crate, which he enjoys retreating to for calm and quiet times but he does not like to stay in it overnight.

Ringo prefers to sleep near his family. Ringo is fine to be left at home for up to 4 hours as long as he has been exercised but he does have the company of another dog at present.

Ringo thrives on exercise and would do well with an active family who has the time and lifestyle to include him in family life.

Ringo likes to have toys / chew treats readily available and enjoys playing with balls, kongs and other dog toys. He needs off-lead walks daily and especially enjoys the woods and anywhere with water.

Ringo is a keen swimmer and loves to fetch sticks from the sea/rivers etc. He enjoys playing fetch and is an excellent retriever.

When out, he always stays close and/or checks in regularly and his recall is very good unless he becomes distracted or sometimes when he senses it’s time to go home and he hasn’t finished playing!

In his excitement, Ringo can pull on the lead and benefits from a halti harness. When on the lead he can be reactive to other dogs, bikes, and some people.

When in open spaces though, he is fine with other dogs. With his current dog brother, play nicely at times but has fought occasionally.

His family have decided reluctantly to rehome him since both dogs do not always get along. Ringo will chase cats and other small creatures and because of the situation with his current doggy brother, he may be better in a home as an only pet.

Ringo is learning ‘leave’ but finds this very difficult and is food orientated. Ringo is fine in a car. Ringo is a fabulous dog with his humans and has stunning markings. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

A minimum adoption donation of £375 applies. ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO A SATISFACTORY APPLICATION AND HOME CHECK.

Our rescue must be informed at any time of a change in circumstances and our dog returned to one of our volunteers where required and when space is available.

Ringo must never be handed over to any UK Rescue or sold or adopted without our knowledge. We will always endeavour to rehome our dogs when necessary.
