Robin is a 1-2 year old male Ibizan Maneto (Podenco Maneto). This small guy is a great survivor. Robin lived many months alone in the streets, being cold, hot, starving and trying to avoid being run over, among many other miseries. There were people, many people, that knew about him, but feeding him from time to time was enough to avoid having a guilty conscience, because saving a life takes effort, money and commitment, and it is better that someone else takes that part.
Because of the area he was abandoned at, he would have ended in a terrible pound where dogs live badly. When we knew about his situation, we decided to help him and take him out of the streets. We have a weakness for Podencos, any type of Podenco, and the Podenco Maneto is different from the other ones because it is short legged and smaller.
The Podenco is a dog breed that not everyone wants to have because they are an unknown breed, but once the adopters take a step and give an opportunity to one of them, they discover what a marvelous breed they are, as it has happened to our adoptive families that chose a Podenco. There is still some work to be done with Robin, he is distrustful at the beginning and a bit fearful, due to his time spent in the streets, but he is also very affectionate. He is a bit dominant with other dogs, so we would like for him a home where he can be the only dog.
Robin will be completely ready to travel whenever the time comes; vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
