Rosie – 6 year old female Akita

Rosie, a friendly and sweet 6-year-old female Akita, endured neglect in her previous home, leaving her in a sorry state when she was rescued.

However, despite her challenging beginnings, Rosie has blossomed into a superstar with good health, thanks to recent spaying, dental care, and treatment for entropion.

Her resilience shines through as she radiates love and affection, relishing human company and forming deep bonds with those around her.

Rosie has adapted well to her new lease on life, demonstrating her ease with being left alone for short periods and her comfort during car rides.

She walks nicely on a head collar and generally pays little attention to other dogs, although she isn’t particularly fond of cats. Given her unknown history, Rosie would thrive as the only dog in the home, where she can receive undivided attention and care.

Due to uncertainties about her past, Rosie would be best suited to an adult-only home, as her compatibility with children is unknown.

It’s essential for Rosie’s well-being that someone is home for the majority of the time, providing her with the security and companionship she craves. Additionally, a secure garden would offer Rosie the opportunity to explore and relax in a safe environment.

Described by everyone who meets her as a lovely dog, Rosie has made a lasting impression on her carer, who considers her the easiest dog she has ever had the pleasure of caring for.

With her gentle nature and loving personality, Rosie is sure to bring joy and companionship to any household lucky enough to welcome her into their home.
