Ruca is a 1.5 year old, medium size (shoulder height: 45 cm, weight: 17 kg) female Cross-Breed. She was rescued from a kill shelter in Hungary where she’d spent several months. She was once adopted but to the biggest surprise of the shelter staff, a week later Ruca walked back to the kill shelter voluntarily. The adopters did not even try to find her, clearly showing how much she must have been loved or missed. It is their total misfortune as Ruca is just the perfect family dog!
Ruca is simply beautiful inside and out! She is an absolute sweetheart, cuddly and kind and happy to be around you. She is highly intelligent, learns quick. She keeps checking back with you and comes straight away when called. She is very adaptable and behaves immaculately in every situation. She soon becomes a favourite where ever she goes, vets and nurses call her by the name already and she is very much cherished by her foster mum too. She has really good manners for a dog who spent months in a kill shelter in horror circumstances, and it almost looks like she may have had a family at one point in her life as she nicely cooperates with people.
She is also friendly and sociable with dogs, big or small, male or female, young or old. She plays nicely with her doggie mates and she likes playing with toys too. She is currently in our foster care with 8 other doggies and gets along with them without problem. They are best friends with Lori, her current kennel mate and it would be lovely to rehome them together! However, they can be adopted separately. She walks quite nicely on the lead but she does not get regular walks. She is clean in the house whenever she is let in but she does not spend nights in currently. She also travels nicely in the car.
Ruca would be best suited for a family without or with children over 10 where she is not left alone for long periods of time and she can spend precious time with her family. She would like to be treated as a member of the family and be included in their activities, going on nice walks or just chilling on the sofa.
Her training and socialization will need to be continued in her new home but she will make any family proud with her lovely temperament and intelligence. She could easily live with a friendly doggie mate, but she would be equally happy living with her humans to care for her only. As all rescue dogs, she will need time, patience, love and commitment from her adopting family.
Ruca is currently in Hungary and can travel to the UK as soon as the right family is found for her. She comes fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea and tick treated, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved paperwork.
Adoption is subject to Home Check and Adoption fee.
