Please meet our very gentle boy Sam. Sam is a very gentle, calm natured 11 month old male Cross-Breed. He has been a real little lost soul up to now and hasn’t known whether he has been coming or going and not really been given a chance to settle and shine!
Sam wouldn’t hurt a fly and was quite withdrawn when he came back into foster care. However, he has made a marked improvement with lots of love and patience and is now gaining in confidence every day. He absolutely loves to play with his toys and a special friend, his one and only sibling brother who he meets up with on walks and play dates regularly!
Although parted for a couple of months when going into their original foster homes or being adopted, Sam and now Pablo (previously Shadow – 2 of the original “S” puppies on our Facebook page), have been reunited to have a bit of fun.
Pablo, even after a shaky start himself, has given Sam reassurance and a zest for life in the typical brother play at that age. Out on walks Pablo is a steady hand at being off the lead and Sam has decided that life really is worth living for and enjoys his walks and is slowly becoming more confident every day.
It is a real joy to watch a dog like Sam change from a sad and insecure puppy who has not had any life at all as a nervous street puppy to a happy, free youngster.
Sam is looking for a home where someone really is around for most of the day, along with another suitable doggy companion. He can be scared of little yappy dogs and also the big scary dogs too but something young and playful or a slightly older dog to give him companion and show him the ropes and who will give him confidence are what Sam is really looking for in his new home. A secure garden with a 5-6ft fence would be needed and we are looking for a calm and quiet home for Sam to be able to relax and settle.
Sam will also need time, patience and love along with play times with toys and a good couple of walks at each end of the day. In return he is becoming more and more affectionate every day, he has learnt to sit and generally loves to sunbath in the garden where it is quiet. He really is showing that he can adjust to life with us, but needs to be shown and not too much expected of him, that’s all.
Sam is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has a full Pet Passport. Sam is in foster in Waltham Abbey, Essex near J26 of M25.
We are looking for a special home for Sam with lots of understanding as we have to get it right for him. So although it would be lovely to home him near his foster mum as she loves him very much, she knows that it may be a bit further afield for the right home.
