Sassy – 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Sassy is approximately one year old and is a small Cross-Breed from Romania. She looks very much like a Tibetan Spaniel but is possibly a Chihuahua cross. She only weighs 5kg and has been spayed. She is an affectionate and playful girl who gets on with all the many other dogs she lives with and has met. Not sure about cats but has shown no interest in them as yet. She walks well on a lead and now is excited to have her harness put on and to go in the car. She has an excellent recall and has not shown any inclination to run off on walks. She is still slightly wary of people when out but is not unfriendly. When strangers come to the house she can bark from nerves but if picked up quickly settles and is happy to greet them.

[rehomed]

She is still very young and very much a puppy at times. She is used to being left for short periods but if bored can decide to destuff the bed or steal a tea towel to take to her nest. She plays full on with dogs both bigger and smaller than her and is very agile. She would excel at mini agility. She is not food aggressive but can be slightly person possessive. Although with care this can be avoided, it is something that has been an issue previously. She is mixed in her housetraining. Like a lot of small dogs she will happily wee inside (or on the puppy pad) when weather not as nice as she would like. This is as much because I have other small dogs who are the same and could easily be trained out of this.

She is a cheeky girl and enjoys life but had a hard start so will take a while to settle in and trust but then rewards with amazing affection. Only the very best forever home will be considered as she has been moved too many times already (through no real fault of her own) and needs someone who is dog savvy and can “read” her. She is extremely pretty and cute but would benefit from an active home as she has bags of energy and would much rather play than be cuddled. Although she can be a snuggle monster when the mood takes her! She can nip if over excited and she wants you to play – not nastily but just because not yet learned the difference between dogs and humans.

For this reason she would not be suitable for a household with young children. Sensible older children and teenagers she is fine with.
