Scruff and Sonny are a male and female Lurchers both relatively young around 14-18 months who landed into our care recently together from quite a slightly precarious situation. Although not ideal these 2 are so well bonded that we feel we need to at least give them a chance to find a home together. They hate being separated and both do get extremely visibly upset when parted from each other. As both have not had the best start their bond is actually quite beautiful to see. Scruff is an outgoing little girl and Sonny more reserved but her confidence helps him and he happily wags and kisses you when with her and she signals it is okay.

Taking on two young Lurchers that both require housetraining and settling down is NOT a job for the faint hearted and these two will require a home with the experience and the time to be on hand to provide ongoing support whilst they settle down. We feel that after a month or so of hard work the fact that they have each other for company will in the longterm make them much easier to handle and to leave unaccompanied.
Both Sonny and Scruffy have temperaments to die for and neither seem to have a mean bone in their body, they have been fine with all people they have met so far and all dogs they have come across they have politely said hello to. They may in the right experienced hands be cat workable and have seen the kitten here today without to much work BUT it does need noting that a cat would have to be extremely bold, an owner extremely patient at integrating and that 2 together would need much more cautious watching them as a pair! They would be fine to be rehomed with dog savy children 6 years and upwards.
Sonny and Scruff are de flead, de wormed, microchipped, vaccinated, kc vaccinated and will be spayed and have their teeth checked before rehoming. Although they are currently located in Stoke on Trent they can be rehomed nationally subject to a successful homevisit being carried out and any members of the immediate family and resident dogs travelling to meet with them.
