Selwyn or Froggit to his friends, is a four year old Greyhound male who up till now hasn’t had the best life, however, that hasn’t dampened his happy go lucky attitude for living and his lust for fun. Selwyn is a real happy, cheeky, waggy boy who is going to melt someone’s heart. He is loving and giving and enjoys being loved right back.

Selwyn is currently in foster in Leicestershire alongside two other Greyhounds, one male and one female and gets on well with both. He walks well on leash and is almost totally housetrained which is fabulous considering he has only been there a couple of days, his only slip up has been a poo when left overnight.

Selwyn needs a little work with socialisation with smaller dogs and furries but does not spin off the end of his leash when he sees them more stands with ears pricked watching. He is not cat friendly.

Selwyn is going to be a very easy dog to adapt to a home environment and is going to make a great pet. Once Selwyn has gained a bit of weight and condition he is going to be a real stunning looking lad. Selwyn is vaccinated, microchipped, de-flead, wormed, neutered and has had a dental.

Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
