Skipper is a 2 year old Croatian Shepherd cross with a remarkable and resilient story.

Originally discovered in a ditch in Croatia at just 6 weeks old, he faced the challenge of adapting to life with only three legs, believed to be a condition from birth, along with a broken pelvis.

Despite these early hardships, Skipper has blossomed into a gorgeous, happy, and loving boy.

This resilient canine companion is currently seeking a new home due to compatibility issues with other dogs in his current household. His ideal home would be one with an experienced owner, preferably as the only dog.

Skipper, though he may bounce a bit due to his three legs, is a loyal and affectionate companion. He walks well on a lead, has good recall, and enjoys the outdoors. However, he may get sick in the car, though he has medication to address this.

Skipper’s loving nature is apparent in his eagerness to please his owners. He appreciates cuddles, adores going on walks, and has a keen interest in treats, making him amenable to training.

It’s essential to note that Skipper is protective of his humans and prefers not to share them with other resident dogs. He’s sensitive about his remaining back leg, and caution is advised when handling it. Maintaining a healthy weight is crucial for Skipper’s well-being.

Microchipped, rabies vaccinated, infectious diseases two times vaccinated, and castrated, Skipper is ready to find his forever home. While he may not be the best fit for a household with other dogs, he might coexist with a dog-savvy cat.

It’s recommended that any potential adopter has experience with dogs and can provide a secure environment for Skipper.

If you’re looking to give Skipper a loving home, situated in Milton Keynes, UK, and can offer him the undivided attention he craves, please consider adopting this resilient and charming canine companion.

A £395 adoption fee applies, and a home check is required, with Ninas Haven providing full rescue back up.
