Skye is a 2-year old neutered female Saluki-cross. Skye came in to the rescue as she was unfortunately left behind after travelers had left the area. Skye has definitely been used for coursing in the past as she has the telltale scarring, so a home with no small furries is essential!
Skye is fab on the lead and her recall off the lead is improving, however she is a sight hound and will chase what she see’s, most of the time this is more in play than hunt! When walking on the forest you do need to be vigilant, but on your average dog walking common she is fab!
This little lady is clean in the house and is happy to live alongside other dogs, although when she is tucked in at night she does not like to share her bed!! Skye has had no issues with children while with us, however as we do not know her background we would only re-home her to families with children who are 10+ (or families without children).
Skye is crate-trained and is happy to be left for up to 3 hours at present, I would only leave her in a dog-crate or a utility room as she is a terrible thief and will bin raid if given the option! She loves her food and is happy to let humans take anything from her but will defend against other animals, so if she went with another dog we would recommend that they are fed separately.
Skye is a delightful character, she loves to cuddle on the sofa and is stunning!! We just can’t believe she has not had any interest at all.
Skye is fully vaccinated, neutered, micro chipped, up to date with all flea treatment and worming and comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
