Sonny is a 15 year old male Jack Russell Terrier. He in foster in Kent and is 8kg. Sonny has had a really rough couple of years. His owner became sick so he wasn’t getting any regular walks and then his owner ended up in hospital and is no longer able to take care of Sonny.
Sonny was left alone in the house for a week and then put in kennels for 2 weeks where he lost a lot of weight. We couldn’t let him deteriorate in kennels with no one coming back to get him, so he is in temporary foster care in Gravesend, Kent where he is now in the company of other dogs, getting walked every day and home cooked food to bulk him back up. He is an adorable little cheeky chappy who loves a cuddle and (if allowed) is happiest sleeping on the bed with his new foster mum.
Understandably he has been through a lot so needs someone around a lot of the time to make up for the attention he’s missed out on over the last few months and years. He is house trained (but maybe expect the odd accident because he has been in kennels and is getting used to his new foster home). He lives happily with other dogs, but is not neutered so will need to be an only dog or with other neutered dogs.
Sonny is the sweetest little dog, who despite everything he has had to contend with, is a marvelous little, loving dog. He still loves his walks and would make an amazing companion for anyone who has the time to offer him their love in his twilight years.
