Sox is a gorgeous boy who loves people and dogs, he can be slightly wary but is good and enjoys being stroked.

Sox does seek reassurance. He doesn’t like to sleep alone, he prefers to sleep and snuggle with humans or other dogs.

We do recommend homing Sox with an active family who is at home most of the time so that Sox isn’t left for long periods, the time he is left needs to be built up slowly.

The new adopters must have experience and know the breed well and be willing to carry on Sox’s training and have another family dog to avoid separation anxiety.

Sox can live with children aged 12 and over this is due to our policy and procedures.

Sox will need further training and with all our puppies in rescue, we will ask to see confirmation of the booked puppy training socialisation classes before the adoption takes place.

We highly recommend this as the adopters and the puppy really benefit from these classes.

Sox loves his food and treats, he is dog and cat-friendly, child-friendly, good at the vets and travels well in the car.

Sox knows the command wee-wees, he is learning to sit. Sox will now come to the sound of a whistle when blown.

Helping Dogs and Cats UK Rescue

Helping Dogs & Cats is a non-profit animal rescue (CIC number1420295) based in Basingstoke and operates in Hampshire, Berkshire, Kent, and Surrey. We rescue dogs, cats and other small animals in need of help.

Our journey began in 2018 when our Founder Kirsty Wrightson established the rescue after losing her beloved dog, Millie. Our work includes rehoming and rehabilitation, veterinary care, microchipping, spaying and neutering. All of the animals that come into our care first go into foster homes for assessment.

Adopting a dog or cat or other animal is a big decision and in most instances, a long-term commitment. To help you answer any questions you may have we have created an FAQ guide. https://helpingdogsandcatsuk.org/faqs-1

Our small team is staffed by volunteers, who are true animal lovers and passionate about animal welfare. We receive no government funding and depend entirely on the generosity of our supporters. Every penny we receive goes directly to helping dogs and cats.

We offer full rescue backup for the life of your adopted animal.
