Spooky is an 11 month old male Poodle cross Bichon Frise. He came into rescue as a stray and none of us are guessing why – this little guy is FAST! He darts through a door before you even know it’s opening. He is an absolute bundle of fun, always curious and ready for action or to stir up some trouble! He is a comical little pocket rocket who is shockingly tiny – as tiny as some of my Chihuahuas, a complete foodie and a master cuddle bug! He was very matted when he arrived so we’ve trimmed him up, neutered him, given him a round of vaccines and a microchip and he’s now good to go. He walks great on the lead, loves other dogs, loves people and literally loves life! He is straightforward, uncomplicated and will fit in seamlessly into any home. I’m actually totally jealous because he’s so adorable I would love to keep him.
Spooky is very playful, vocal, never sits still. At this age Spooky will fit in seamlessly to most homes but it is up to the adopter to set him up to succeed. Please be aware before enquiring that he will need further work with his house training, however he has been quite clean in kennels aside from sneakily cocking his leg on things. He would benefit from general politeness training as he jumps up and is quite unruly although at 2.5kg and being knee high to a grasshopper it’s not the end of the world, but good practice to install good training. He is incredibly affectionate and at 11 months old will not be able to tolerate a home with long working hours.
We feel he would do well in a home as a solo dog or with another confident dog to learn from. He’s a tiny boy and very playful, size appropriate breeds need to be taken into consideration as he could be easily hurt by some overzealous, bigger dogs. Unfortunately we will not be accepting applications from anyone that is not age appropriate for owning a puppy. We do have older dogs with us in rescue that are looking for someone to love them whom may suit older applicants that are looking for a companion.
Who out there would like to keep Spooky entertained for the rest of his days? Spooky is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He will also be subject to a home check and adoption donation.
