Little Stella is a four year old female Cairn Terrier. She was rescued in December last year from a UK camp where she had been chained for all of her life.

She had a meter squared area where she was bred from, fed and left. She had shelter in the form of a make shift old wooden kennel.

Stella has been in foster care since her rescue. She is absolutely a lovely little girl and she will be a great and loyal companion to the person who adopts her. Given her past she has done remarkably well in foster care.

So first the bits of Stella that need work. Obviously, her cruel treatment in the past means she has issues. Trust is a major factor for this little girl.

If you do not form a bond with her she will nip as a fear reaction. She will never nip a person with whom she is fully bonded. It is very easy to gain Stella’s trust as she is very food orientated and quick to learn who her friends are.

Once Stella has bonded with her human she craves love and attention.

So any owner must be prepared to give her their full attention.

Stella is very good with very young dogs. She plays well with the Puppy in her foster home. She has a very nurturing nature to young dogs, possibly because of her intense breeding. She is not good with older dogs a direct result of her lack of socialisation.

In her foster home Stella has made great strides with her rehabilitation of the outside world. She walks well on the lead in quiet areas. She is progressing with her road walking. She is a bundle of fun and loves only to please her favourite human. She loves to interact and play.

Stella is now looking for her happy ever after. She is a little dog with lots of love to give to the right person. Given her past she is remarkable and we think in the right home she will continue to progress.

Stella needs a quiet home with a garden. She is best suited as an only dog in a child free home. Stella is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is £300 and she has Full Rescue Back Up for life.
