Stella is a nine year old medium sized female Cross-Breed, fostered near Norwich, Norfolk. She used to live somewhere around a park in Romania where one of our rescuer friends walked herdogs, from time to time she came in the park, walked around and then went away. She never trusted people enough to let them touch her, but she would go close so that they could feed her. One day she came with a very bad injury in one leg, the scar is still visible, still she would not let them touch her or help her then another day a dog with an owner attacked her, grabbed her by the head and although the injury was not deep she could not stand or walk, she was moving in circles. This time she was too weak to fight back and she was taken to the vet where she took weeks to recover. That was six years ago and poor Stella has been in a shelter ever since. Having had to interact with people there she is now much friendlier and at last is in the UK looking for a new home.
Stella is an affectionate dog who loves to play with other dogs in her foster home. Her energy levels defy her years and she still had energy for fun. Having never experienced walks or being on a lead before she is now learning that late in life, after initial strong protests she is now enjoying her walks and just needs more practice to gain experience.
Stella would be suited to an adult home or with no children under ten. She would like a dog companion in the home but it’s not something we would insist upon as long as she can see other dogs socially on walks. They are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless they are too young). If you are interested please message or call between 9am and 6pm
