Stormy is a 10 year old pekingnese cross currently fostered in Bournemouth, Dorset. He once belonged to someone in Romania and was abandoned as a stray. Two years ago whilst living on the streets as a stray he was savaged by some German Shepherds and we got an urgent call from someone to come help. Stormy had to be rushed to the vets and stayed there for around a month. He had surgery and luckily his eye was saved. His eye has been OK these past two years but in the future may need surgery (which we will help with).
Despite his ordeal he is still OK with other dogs and even lived with a German Shepherd in his Romanian foster home. Stormy recently arrived in foster in Bournemouth/Poole area of Dorset and has taken to the change so well. He is brilliant in the car, used to walking on a lead – he just plods along. He absolutely adores a fuss and likes to play with toys. He is in foster with an old female Westie and they get on OK but he just tends to ignore her and favours human affection.
He prefers female dogs to male dogs and has lived with cats before. We would love for him to find a home close to where he is being fostered and to remain registered with our trusted vet practice but this isn’t an essential requirement. Whoever adopts Stormy will have such a great companion.
