Meet the lovely Suzy, a 6 year old medium sized Cross-Breed who has been in our care since late 2015 when she was a tiny pup. One of the many dogs rounded up and taken to the Public Shelter.

Suzy has taken her time in trusting people which is why she is only now being profiled. She has previously been very very fearful. She is now a little more confident around you, once she knows you. It is great to finally see this change in her and for us to hopefully be able to find her a family who will appreciate her shy nature and be able to further bring about a positive change for Suzy.

She has no issues whatsoever with the other dogs in our care. She shares her food and toys with anyone. I think there is a cheeky side of Suzy we have yet to see.

For Suzy we are looking for a previous adopter of street dogs, one who has been through the process of introducing a dog to walking on a harness and lead, one who has introduced a dog successfully within a household and who can make suitable adjustments according to Suzy’s needs.

We are looking to rehome Suzy into a child free home. A house with occasional visiting older children would be fine as long as Suzy can be accommodated appropriately giving her space away from visitors until she is happy to integrate. We do not know how Suzy is with cats so will only consider cat free homes.

Suzy has built her confidence mainly from being around well balanced dogs. Cody has been one of her biggest helpers with learning how to be around people and other dogs. We are therefore looking to place Suzy in a home with another dog, one who has a lovely gentle side but who has confidence to take the lead and help Suzy with anything that she may still be unsure of.

Suzy really is a very sweet pupper who is now ready to take the step into the unknown and find her very own family. If you can offer her the perfect space in your home, then please complete the adoption application form and someone will contact you.
