Meet Tammy; she is a four year old speyed female Jack Russell Terrier cross that was brought to us in February 2007, as her owners were moving to new accommodation and unable to take her with them. Tammy is a timid dog who is shy of new people but gains confidence quickly.

Sweet gentle Tammy likes the quiet life and is seeking a calm household, as she is nervous of new surroundings and loud noises. She needs a patient and understanding owner as she doesn’t appear to know any commands, but this will improve as her confidence grows.

However, she will sit when encouraged and will stay when told but will needs someone to help her learn the art of house-training, as she obviously was never taught when young. She is calm and quiet when left, never destructive and is happy to curl up on a nice chair or sofa.

Tammy enjoys her walks but also loves to be carried, is good on the lead however she is nervous of new surroundings and will bolt if scared and care should be taken when out and about as she is not one for canine companionship. She is a real lap dog that has no tear duck in one eye and therefore is on medication and steroids to help clear up the condition. Tammy is seeking a new home without other dogs or cats and where any children are 12+.

Can you offer our sweet little lass a new loving home where she can be your constant companion?
